Emissions
Emissions shows the carbon footprint of your hosting and email, measured independently by ephyrIOs. Every team member can see this page.

Reading the page
Section titled “Reading the page”- Choose a Month. The last 18 months are available.
- Operational emissions is the month’s total in kg CO₂e, with the methodology version used.
- Where available, Embodied (devices) and Water use are shown separately.
- Tracked services counts the servers, applications and mailboxes being measured.
- The table lists each resource with its Boundary, Emissions and Last data time.
How emissions are measured
Section titled “How emissions are measured”Each resource is measured at one boundary:
| Boundary | What is measured | How to turn it on |
|---|---|---|
| Server (VM traffic) | All web traffic and running costs of a server. | Choose carbon telemetry when you provision the server, or enable the 360° agent on its page. |
| Application (site visitors) | Emissions caused by visitors to an edge application. | Install / refresh visitor tracking on the application page. |
| Email (mailbox storage) | Mailbox storage growth. | Automatic for greneIT Mail. |
| Not tracked | Nothing is being measured yet. | Use one of the above. |
When numbers are missing
Section titled “When numbers are missing”- No telemetry linked yet: none of your resources are being measured. Turn on telemetry as described above.
- Live footprint data is temporarily unavailable: the measurement service can’t be reached. Your linked resources are still listed. Check again later.
To show your emissions on your own website, see Website carbon badge.
