Manage a domain
Click a domain in Domains to open its page. The header shows the domain name, its kind and a status badge. The page has four tabs: Overview, Contact, DNS and Nameservers.
Click Refresh status at any time to fetch the latest status from Cloudflare.

Overview tab
Section titled “Overview tab”The top of the tab lists Registrar, Status, Expires and DNS Setup. If anything went wrong, the last error appears in red underneath.
The protection settings below only appear once the domain’s Cloudflare zone has been created.
SSL mode
Section titled “SSL mode”Shows how traffic between visitors, Cloudflare and your server is encrypted. We recommend Full (strict). Click Enable Full (strict) if it isn’t on yet. The badge then reads Strict enabled.
Under Attack Mode
Section titled “Under Attack Mode”Turn this on if your site is being flooded with traffic. Visitors see a short browser check before reaching your site. Turn it off again when the attack is over.
Development Mode
Section titled “Development Mode”Temporarily bypasses the cache so you see changes straight away while editing your site. It switches itself off after a few hours, and the page shows how many minutes remain.
Purge Cache
Section titled “Purge Cache”Click Purge everything to clear every cached file for the domain, for example after a redesign. Your site may be a little slower for a few minutes while the cache refills.
Cloudflare Email Sending
Section titled “Cloudflare Email Sending”Lets your applications send email such as contact form messages or password resets from an address on this domain. Click Request Email Sending. The status changes to Requested and then Onboarded once a greneIT admin has finished set-up.
Contact tab
Section titled “Contact tab”Registrant contact holds the owner details stored with the registry. Update them and click Save contact. Keep the email address current, because registries send important notices there.
DNS and Nameservers tabs
Section titled “DNS and Nameservers tabs”- DNS records: add and edit A, CNAME, MX, TXT and other records.
- Nameservers and transfers: the nameservers to set at your registrar, and how to finish a transfer.
